I have the opportunity to purchase a 1939 Special 2dr sedan "sunshine turret top " I was wondering if anyone here has any info and production numbers. This is a really unique car! The car is all there and includes a 4dr parts car. The body is a little rusty. I have a 401 nailhead and turbo 400 trans from a 65 Electra I would like to install ,if I get this car. This car would make a nice 'retro rod'. What do you all think? Ted
Don't do it. The 39 sunshine turret top is a very rare car. And would be more valuable than a street rod. I don't have production figures in front of me , but very very few produce. I'm sure someone wil come up with figures. Jim Schilf palbuick
