Those braided ground straps have been turning to dust for many decades on every vehicle in the rust belt that used them. However, up until around the mid-2000's, they rarely caused any problems. The SMA guy had an FCA one I think. Did he post a fix for the 2019 Silverado no crank? He said it wasn't the ground strap or the starter. Grounds are a silent killer.
