Max Damage I'm working on it!

Any reason a ground strap would corrode that quickly? Is it near a heat source?

I believe South Main Auto had a video on that ground strap issue a few months back.

That's been a known issue for years.

Those braided ground straps have been turning to dust for many decades on every vehicle in the rust belt that used them. However, up until around the mid-2000's, they rarely caused any problems.

The SMA guy had an FCA one I think. Did he post a fix for the 2019 Silverado no crank? He said it wasn't the ground strap or the starter.

    Grounds are a silent killer.

Poor choice of material for the location. Bean counters? Bad R&D?
