I'm looking to get a set of centerline billet wheels, 16x8, what backspacing should I get. Gonna run 245/50/16, would I have any clearance issues? the car has 1" lowering springs all around.
    Thanks

    backspacing

I am running 17X8 wheels on my 70 GSX with 245/45/17 tires on it. The backspacing is 4.75" It could easily take 5". I think you can go with either and be safe. I have not had any rub at all on my. My car is not lowered yet. I will be lowering it an 1" at some point in the future (not soon). Looks like it will work fine. Global West suggest 5" backspacing when I bought the wheels.

    excuse the above post.

after measuring my car for new wheels. i'm seeing the ideal spacing for 8" wheels as 4.25". more spacing and you have less clearance inside than out and vice versa.
