For those of you who haven't seen this - take a look! Adam has been helping out with pictures and Roberta has been advising...along with a host of others! It is a serious effort.

He is planing to run in the Silver State Classic in Nevada - a high speed open road race for top speed honors. This race gets some publicity and would help the reputation for Buick power! Should we, the club, sponsor a decal somewhere on this machine? He is looking for sponsor help...just a thought....LINK

They are ready for some testing, so it's getting very interesting now!

and is the owner, BqUICK (Michael Joseph) on this board?

    I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!
The Silver State Classic is actually what made me get rid of my 74 225 and get a 66 GS Skylark instead.
The 74 was just too much of a challenge 10 years ago to think I could do anything with it. 4500lbs of metal is lot to handle on a road course.

I wish I had the fortitude this guys does.

In fact I wish I still had my 74 but all things must pass.

Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for the link and I truly LOVE that car.

    That car is BADA$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it needs a BPG decal as well. I'll contribute. I dunno whats cooler, the choice of bodystyle or the theme of one outstanding pursuit squardon.

you might not believe me, but ive had my speedo buried in my 75 electra about where the gear indicator is. i was in new mexico briving from white sands missle range to holloman afb back in 96.i swear 33 miles was done in less than 20 min. and i did it leaving holloman back in 97 when i was driving to new jersey to ship it to germany. ive got the engine beef up alot. i was in germany for two years with it from 97 99. nothing was sweeter than pulling up on a porsch's ass. hte looks i got on the road hah i wish i had a cam. i still got it 10 years later.

Been there, done that. Buried the speedo past 120 and just kept accelerating for some time. Absolutely no idea how fast that was.
