    15 X 7 wheels, Will a 3 3/4" backspacing work?

I've been trying to buy a new set of Buick Rallye 15 x 7 wheels for several months now and either they are priced way out of my budget ($650) or the dealers who sell the affordable ones do not have any in stock. I am just about ready to give up on my search for original style and go with an aftermarket 5 spoke such as Cragar or American Racing. The problem is that the backspacing on those wheels is typically 3 3/4". So, I was wondering if I will have any clearance problems if I mount 245/60/15 tires on that backspacing. These will be mounted on a 1972 GS.

I still would rather buy Buick Rallyes, so if anyone knows of a secret source where wheels are available and shipping costs are not insane please let me know.

Try Specailty Wheel in Portland, I bought some 15X8 with a custom 5" backspace for $149.00 each and they took only three weeks to get.

    David,
Have you tried your local boneyard? I've bought several sets of 15 X 7 Buick Rallye wheels over the years, and the most I paid was 25.00/wheel. Buick used those wheels for many years. You could still find some. You might have to go through what they have to find some really nice ones. Give it a shot.

AHRRRRGG :Dou: I just did an intensive search on ebay and saw them. They did not show up on "rallye wheels" search (seller spelled it "RALLY") so I never saw them previously. You are right, They look really nice. Dang it, I already ordered the Cragar Keystone Klassics for a total cost of $664.89 :ball: I wonder what they will eventually sell for. On ebay you just never know. They could sell for $500 easy since they come with caps. Those darn things are just becoming so rare. One local tire dealer said he could get me a set of 4 in 3 days for $1,184. :eek2:
