    Hi,

Just wondering if there were any 15 X 7" road wheels with 5" bolt circles made, or currently available from Vintiques or somebody. Thanks.

Vintques or Stockton will make them with any BS you want, I've never heard of 5" BS from the factory most of them out there are 4 3/8".

    Len,

No, I'm talking about the bolt circles, not the backspacing, but that brings up the issue of what was the backspace on 15"X7" wheels, assuming that any were made by Buick in the road wheel design.

The 15x7's 5" bolt pattern road wheels came on the Estate Wagons in the late 70's thru the 80's. I currently have 3 of them on the 225 along with a 15x6 that I picked up at a u-pull it salvage yard.

From what I've seen at the salvage yard it goes like this for the 5" bolt patterns starting in the late 70's I think. Wagons got the 7" wide rims, Electras/Park Ave's got the 6" wide rims, LeSabres w/HD suspension got 6" wide rims and LeSabres w/o HD suspension got the smaller bolt pattern rims. This can help if ever in a yard looking for rims.

Thanks, and it also brings up another issue. What I'm trying to do is put 15 X 7 on the rear of a '68 Riv, 15 X 6 is OK for the front. But the '68 would have had the cone shaped black Riv center cap for the wheels with the 2" center hole. I think the later model wheels had 2 1/8" holes. So if I want 15 X 7 I'm going to have to use the later Riv center caps. Or do some adapting to get the early Riv center caps to work on the later wheels? Sounds like there were no early (2") wheels in 15 X 7 with 5" bolt circles.
