Bought a small used utility/lawnmower/rototiller trailer last fall. Got it out and ready to move some things around for spring and while checking air pressure in the tires noticed the tires on the trailer are 205/75-15. The spare is 215/75-14. What is the size difference? Duh- I know 1", but overall height difference of the tires? Could the 14" tire/rim be used as a temporary spare if needed with no worries? No used 205/75-15 tire and rim are showing up locally on FB Marketplace or Craigslist. Price for a new tire/rim at TSC or Fleet Farm is out of my budget, especially for how little the trailer is used.
Here is a useful tire size comparison website: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=215-75r14-205-75r15 The 15" tire should be about .4" larger in diameter. If the bolt pattern and wheel offset are the same, you should have no problem using the 14" wheel as a spare.
205/75-15 is about 27.11 diameter 215/75-14 is about 26.70 diameter So about 5/16 of an inch difference. For a single axle utility trailer, I don't think you'll notice much if you temporarily have to use it. It's not like it will go around in circles behind you. Lol LSMS beat me to it.
