I am selling a set of wheels off of my Sport Wagon. They are in great shape. Not perfect, but very nice. The tires are 255/60 on the rear and 225/70 on the front. Tires also in great shape. See the pics. Asking $250 for the set. Prefer local pick up but I'm willing to meet within reason. You can reach me on my cell at 443 253 52sixnine. 20130913_092515.jpg 20130913_092552.jpg 20130913_092602.jpg 20130913_092533.jpg

With tires I've just put some thick cardboard circles over the outside of the wheels, taped them up really well, slapped a label on, and sent them on their way.
UPS /FedEx have both taken them for me. (without tires I've used 16x16x8 boxes)

Hope this helps -- others may have suggestions

Those look nice. What did you end up replacing them with?

All the major shippers will ship tires/wheels
As mentioned you can put circle cardboard over the face of the wheels.
Ive seen them shipped as is though, Fedex will apply their label right to the tread of the tire and secure with tape.

    Curtis,
What's the cost of having a set with tires shipped. I just got an outrageous price quote from UPS.

They are nice, but I am upgrading to the ls1 disc brakes front and back, so I needed a bigger wheel. I have it down to 2 choices. I like the grey salt flat wheels from American racing, and the polished/black 5 star wheels from either Weld or Billet Specialties. I figure with a white car and all that chrome/stainless, I want some wheels with color.

    Rick,
I'm working on the shipping for these. Give me alittle time to figure it out. I know these guys are also interested. Looks like you will not have trouble getting rid of them.

    Thanks!

Hmmmmmm. I need a moderators judgment on this. I stated in the first post that I really prefer a local pick up due to the hassle of shipping these. Do I need to go down the list of people that shipping, or can I give the local guy preference?

    Rick,
Pending moderator ruling and since I was first to inquire about the wheels I want you to know I want them!!! If you are willing to drop them off at your local UPS store I have worked out a shipping arrangement for $33 each. Other than me requesting you tape cardboard onto the rims on both side I believe they will take care of all wrapping them up as show in a earlier reply. Or I could send you a roll of stretch wrap to wrap around the wheels as someone posted earlier.

Rick, I just bought a set of tires from the Tire Rack, and they are shipped as bare tires with a shipping label taped onto the tread.... no packaging required!
Shipping a wheel/tire should be fairly easy, but an extra layer of protection for the chrome would be a good idea.
