    I found a set of 70 date coded 14x6 steel rims in immaculate condition for my 70 skylark convertible. My question is they came off a Chevelle and the guy doesn't know if the car had frt disc brakes or not. Mine has disc brakes and i wonder if they would work. I'm not sure if there is a difference or not.Any help is always appreciated. My car now has Buick Rallye rims.

    If they are truely 1970 wheels, they will work with disc brakes. GM made a change during the '68 model year to make all 14" and 15" wheels disc brake compatable.

    look for "JJ" stamped either on the outside lip of the rim or stamped in the inside on the drop centre of the rim.
    JJ = disk brakes
