Has anybody ever had a problem fitting 14" Buick Rally Wheels with factory disc brakes on a car? Just curious :Do No:

When i was looking around, i only found 1 place that makes disc brakes for 14" wheels.
I had to upgrade my wheels to 15"

Actually I bought a front disc brake kit from The Parts Place for my 65 GS with 14" wheels and had no problems, never even thought about it, worked fine. They are such an improvement over the drums, no pulling or fading or movement of the steering wheel when brakes are applied and very responsive. My only regret is that I didn't put disc on rear also, not that it really needs it but it would just be a cooler car, future project for sure.

My car came from the factory with front discs and 14 inch rallys. There's no problem whatsoever with fitting the wheels over the brakes.

  5. 68 and later 14 inch rallies fit the single piston disc brakes. no Buick rallies will fit the 67-68 dual piston disc brakes except the chevy style buick rally available in 67 and 68.

    itpphoto What just happened ?

I did the disk conversion on my 65 Skylark and the 14's did not fit. I had to go to 15's. I even tried 14's from a disk brake car.

if the 14" rims had the "JJ" code, they will fit the oem disk calipres from gm for 69 & up. if the calipres were aftermarket then that could be the problem.
when baer produced an aftermarket front disk brake conversion kit, u had to go to 15" rallyes.
