I wont be happy until my Skylark is faster than my daily driver, and my daily driver runs mid to low 13's.

That said: I'd be semi-happy if my car ran right at all.

Aluminum TA intake makes about the same power as the Iron but easier to port. SO if you have the time, just port match your Iron intake. If you want to keep the exhaust manifolds and refuse to go to the power headers will give you, then clean up the inside of the exhaust manifolds and open up the outlet where it connects to the exhaust pipe. Wide lobe centers on Buicks is because of BBB stuff being copied to SBB. Closer lobe centers would make more power. 110 L/C is what I would use. Go with an 11" stall converter which has perfect street manners. 10.0 comp.

I take it ceramic coated headers are out of the question???? A lot of easy power right there.
If your port work on the heads was good then you should get 13's easy.

THere is a bit of a gap with Buick guys. You either run close to stock or 12's.

It takes the same thing to make power whether a street car or race car. Air Flow!! You wouldn't have to get the whole head flowed and matched, just one intake/exhaust so you generally know where you stand. I wouldn't think that would cost much. If they didn't flow good then you can expect your 14-15 sec time slip if you want to keep all the luxury of your street car. If you porter did real good bowl work around the valve guide and the short turn then you are probably in good shape to get the power you need.

Still hoping to get a 15 second time slip. :Brow:

According to Jim Burek I have been told my heads flow.

Hopefully it will run well....

Hello whats going on all around our great country. I haven't been with the Buick spot in a while. I ran street in E Town last weekend and runner upped outta about 25-30 cars, in my Chevelle.saw a real nice 71 or 2 suncoupe racing but didn't see the owner, cool car. weather looks good and time to assemble the ol Buick. t last ran 15.1 in 2001 or 2002. That was very stock and waiting to give out. I like what the last reply was as I thought tight lobe centers will beef things up a bit.maybe sell the TA intake and get a TA headers coated. or Poston based on the best deal theory. Will look into a cam and if it works or fails I'll let you all know. chris.
