I made my stock Buick valve covers work with some metal work and hole slotting, but I'm looking for something that has mounting bolts through the top and the walls of the cover are on the outside of the sealing rail. I have the T&D race rocker system that have three studs per pair of rockers and the main plate bolts down through the head studs with additional mounting holes tapped in the top of the head. The geometry is changed and the longer rockers are moved closer to the intake. So close I had to plug and relocate the pushrod holes- no fun. But they look awsome and allow good clearance for GOOD roller cam springs. Anyways, I'm just looking for a nice set of valve covers to go over them. :Brow:
Rick Are you back? If so welcome home! You have 2 choices.....The Valve Covers that I got were from Unique Aliminum Products.Nice product but I still had to work them a bit for fitting purposes. These are the largest inside dimensions I have seen on V/C. Or fab up your own. Their # is 641 872 1437 www.uniquealuminumproducts.com
Cool Thanks Gary. :TU: I know you gave me that info before but I miplaced it and needed the money for other parts at the time. I have the money now and I'm gathering parts together for when I get back from Kuwait/Iraq which will be some time earily next year.
Try Lane Custom Products for some custom valve covers.:TU: I saw their stuff last year at the Syracuse Street Rod Nationals - Excellent Quality!!! Some of the best built products I've seen!!:bglasses: The guy told us he could make valve covers for any make....just supply an old set....or in your case, supply added dimensions. You can get either billet aluminum tops or see thru Lexan...he had a set on his Chevelle small block - looked great!! The oil drains off the lid after about 2 minutes, showing off your nice looking roller rocker system!!:TU: Nice way to keep an eye on any potential oiling problems, etc.
