Hello. I have a 3.73:1, 12 bolt ring & pinion with very few miles that I can't identify the make. On the pinion face, it has 11X41 and the part number 1639 or 1039, it is hard to tell if the second digit is a 0 or a 6 because of the cuts for the teeth, but the numbers are deep, not stamped. The ring gear has the following numbers: 065 17:25 9.25 11X41. I have looked around the computer with no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to find the make to get the manufacturer's suggested pinion depth.
    Thanx.

edit: I don't know if this helps, but the end of the yolk has blue paint.
    Thanx.

    12 bolt gears

12 bolt holes could be anyones gears. Mopar 8 3/4 but the give away to these gears would be the 9.25 on it. measure the gear across the diameter seen what it measures. what size bolt holes or bolts doesit use. jim

Thanx Monzaz. I'll measure it and get bolt sizes. When you say the 9.25 is the gine away, what do you mean. Is it for a Dodge 1/2 ton truck or something?
    Thanx again for the help?

Surew would seem to me that is what it is stamped in there for...Measure it and see what you come up with. Unless GM has a 9.25 but I think gm trucks are 9.5. Jim

Thanx Monzaz, you just made me think of where it came from (I think). My Dad had my 4.10's or 4.56's installed in his 2001 3/4 ton suburban. I think the front diff in those is a 9.25 incher.
    Thanx again.
