I have a Chevy 12 bolt rear differential with casting number 3959038 (late 69 Chevelle). This is disasembled with no axles or backing plates but I do have the 3.31 gear set. Unfortunately the mounting pads were removed. Included is a BRAND NEW complete Wilwood disc brake conversion, new Eaton Posi unit and installation kit. A Jim Meyer 4 link kits with QA1 single adjustable shocks. Well over $2000 in parts not including the 12 bolt. I am asking $1,500 but willing to listen to offers.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks John. I live all the way down in North Carolina, but I've got some family in southern Indiana that I'll be coming up to visit in a couple of months. So it could work out. I don't have a lot of intimate knowledge about rebuilding rearends but I know that my current 8.2" is not going to hold up to the punishment of the Jim Weisse stroker motor that's headed to my engine bay soon.... I'm going to reach out to Brian Trick and see if he'll help me determine whether this rearend is a good fit for me.

Can anyone else offer up any renowned rearend builders on the East coast?

Jared, Talking to Brian is a good idea. He might be coming over to my house to look at an intake manifold I have for sale and could look at this stuff for you. If you are interested please feel free to make an offer. I really want to sell this stuff!

If I was looking for QA1 adjustable shocks for my own 12 bolt, how much would I pay?

John.... QA1 single adjustable shocks are about $300 to $400 for the pair. I have seen shocks with coil over kits to be in the $700 range. At this point I do not want to split this stuff up but if I do, then I will let you know!

Sounds good John. I'll jump in line, and hopefully Brian has time to reply today.

I'm stepping aside for the next buyer. With the brackets being off of this housing, and fact that I don't need the breaks or suspension, this may not be the fit for me. Thanks for being patient John, and good luck.

I was shopping Summit's site for coilovers for my GS and just saw that those QA1s are $545.

Jeff... was that including the spring?

Yes, it looks like that's their price for the spring-included ones as far as I can tell...FOR THE FRONT END. (I double checked and discovered that) and there may be other stock numbers for kits with different travel or compression/rebound rates.
Here is the link to the kit I found for the front:

And I did more searching and found the kit for the REAR is even more ($659):

You are welcome, John. We all try to help each other out here with info, as you know. You seem to be offering a great bargain here--pricing everything equals a total cost of way over $1500 if bought elsewhere. I bet this is a tempting deal to more than one of us, and it's just the distances between us, or maybe no one person needs the whole collection, that makes it problematic. Keep bumping your ad and maybe one of us will go for the gusto, or a new reader who needs the whole set will see the ad.

The 4 link setup has been sold. I still have the Wilwood brake setup and Eaton Posi unit.

I called Wilwood today and they said the disc brake kit is part number 140-7141. This will work on stock passenger 10 and 12 bolt rear ends. New prices is $739. Asking $525.

The Eaton Posi unit is part number 19554-010. New price is $583. Asking $475

    Thank You!
