did they ever put a 12 bolt in a skylark iam going to look at a 69 4 dr that has a 350/350 with a 12 bolt was that an option looking to put the whole drivetrain in a 67 special
Have pulled several original 12 bolts out of '69 & 70 Skylarks. First was close to 15 years ago. Was original to a 2 door post '70 Skylark built out of Framingham plant. Wouldn't have even noticed it, but had a good friend with me & he crawled up & got busy pulling the window regulator out of the lh door for his car. The Skylark was sitting on the roof of another car, & the rear suspension was hanging, wasn't hard to miss. Since that time, have pulled 4 more, all out '70 Framingham built Skylarks, & the last 3, all out of same big yard. All were McKinnon cast housings & had the 3R pinion flange. '69's could have them as well, esp Oshawa built cars. Got Posi? :3gears: Roger
Yes, Canadian built Skylarks had 12 bolt rears. On your `67 the `69 rear is a little wider, so you will need to be aware of that.
If the 7th digit of the VIN is a 1 (or actually an I), the car was built in Canada and was provided with a 12-bolt. -Bob Cunningham
