Nope, that is the correct color. In 1975 (only, from what I can tell) Buick painted their engines a metallic blue. 1976 and up they used a powder blue color. My Skyhawk has the same color, but not in quite as good of shape.
I realize it was blue, but was thinking of the powder blue that Brad was referring to. Thanks for the info!
no doubt about it. that car is in awsome shape... BUT!....the door striker post is painted the same color as the car. i thought they were installed after the panel was painted. here are some of the options that the original puchaser passed on ..... could you live without them too? 455 cu in engine. air conditioning(no wonder they never drove it with that black interior) power windows. power locks. power seat. cruise. tilt. delay wipers low fuel light. speed alert. bumper gaurds. accessory door courtesy light package. cornering lights. extra wide lower body stainless mouldings. fiber-optic light monitors. header medallion. rally wheels. passenger side mirror. 8 track tape player power antenna ...and i cant tell if it has ...... a power trunk popper. under seat litter container kick panel litter container but it's nice, none the less.
