I am selling some stuff for my brother on e-bay. There is a set of NIB (new in box) 4.56:1 gears for a GM, 8.2 car. I have read that there are differences between Buick and Chevy 8.2 rears. Will the gears fit both Buick & Chevy rears? I know therre are not many Buick guys looking for a 4.56 R&P, but I want to list it correctly on e-bay. Thanx.
John, Best to count the pinion splines, if 27 spline pinion, the 8.2 gears fit: -'64-67 Buick (& Olds) 8.2 -'64-69 Pontiac 8.2... will also fit '70-72 Pontiac 8.2's with the correct carrier. If aftermarket 25 spline pinion, the gears are most probably '64-72 8.2 Chevy gears. :3gears: Roger
