Is it a carpet split in 2 pieces from the beginning in my electra?
(don't have any carpet at all at this moment)

-What kind of carpet do you recommend?
there are some different kinds to choose between...

    Thanks.. :)

I just purchased carpet for my '67 Wildcat, 2 pieces...just like the original. ACC is the supplier of the molded carpet http://www.accmats.com/, but I got a better price on an ACC carpet by going through http://www.1aautomotive.com . They also advertise on ebay sometimes for even lower costs than what they list on their website.

    Good luck!

The two pieces are very convenient if you do something like put a stereo under the seat- the wires can be fished in really easily. I've put in a few carpets and never seen a one piece, but that doesn't mean they don't exist- just might be very tough to get all that carpet in the car at once

Okey, perhaps just me who missunderstand the text.... :Dou:

Have anyone tried any carpet from oldbuickparts.com?
    -Quality and good fit? :Smarty:

They have 2 kinds, Nylon Loop and Nylon Cut Pile...
-What's most sexy to have, loop or cut pile? :TU:

I just finished up the carpet on my 225. purchased it from 1aautomotive online....got the set for about $120, which was below cost.

It was in two pieces, fits ok, but it doesn't look like it was formed from a buick floorpan, because the transmisison bumps weren't in the correct place.

I did get cut pile, but that's NOT correct for the older cars. Most all of them had the nylon loop. I was told that by ordering the cut pile, I couldn't return it.

I ordered the conv top boot from oldbuickparts (they're really CARS), and it was drop shipped from some place in Ohio. It actually cost MORE that the carpet did!

If doing the carpet, check the sound deadener. That tar stuff under the padding. Most folks say leave it alone, but I found so much rust under them, I had to remove it all and refinish the pan.
