HELLO FIRST69LARK, First things first what compression are you running, do you have any head work done ? what cam are you running? what carb are you have ? Also it wouldnt be a bad idea to put your car on a diet like fiberglass hood, trunk, bumpers LET ME KNOW WHAT SET UP YOU HAVE...

What rear gear are you running?
What convertor is in your trans?

What was your 60 foot time?

Your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET, so that doesn't matter unless you're going to bracket race.

i made a revision, on it, is 3900 over weight w/ a 300 guy and 3/4 of gas, i am still learning about all this, and i seen some mustangs running in the 12's and 13's, snowmobles running at 9's at 125 mph

8 inch wide tires in the front and 10 inch in the rear

heads i dont think anything was done to them
i bought the motor from a guy that had all the work done

the car came w/ the tranny and rear end

    60 foot 2.4901

gearing not a clue or the torque converter

i have gone way over my head w/ this car but i love it to dealth i cant part w/ it i just need to make it run faster now

i have a 3 inch thick fram air fliter, also has accel dis and hei, 8mm plug wires

What rear end gears are you running? are you running the stock air cleaner? You might try an open element filter, and you are going to want 3.23 or higher gears to get to your power band alittle quicker. A fairly stock Skylark or GS should be able to do mid to low 15's with a good tune and little weight reduction.
I can run 15.3's without a problem, pretty much stock........ taking the tire and all the lawn chairs out out of the trunk let's me run 51.1-15.2's

You should be able to get a .10 gain per 100lb loss of weight.

I agree once you can 60ft better you will bring a lot mph back.

try to get it in the 2.0 and work on getting it down from there.

Whats your timing at? Get a crane adjustable vacuum advance kit, it has different springs to help you get more advance earlier. Recurving the dist would help even more. Keep at it, now you have a good baseline to work from, you'll knock that time down I'm sure!
