Months ago I read that a maker was thinking of releasing a 1/18 scale 65 GS diecast to the market. Anyone know what happened to this project and if it's still planned? I'd love to have a couple!
This is the first I have heard about it but I would love to have a few of them too. I don't think there has ever been a model of a 65 Skylark GS ever. I have talked to some of the resin model makers about a 1/25th scale and they say they don't think there would be enough interest to make it worth their investment. I will be keeping my hopes up!
Well i'll tell you a quick story. Todd the diecast guy told me in 2006 that they were coming out in 2 07. P.S. I contacted him, and posted a thread sbout it and was told "Manufacturer Cancelled". No explaination. I would buy at least 4-6 of them. I don't know why cause their making 65 gto's and others as well. We should make a petition or something. Maybe pre-orders? I'm in with any idea's everyone has.
Yeah, that was a bummer. I was told they were cancelled due to lack of pre-orders. In other words they didn't think they'd sell good enough. I believe they're wrong!! I'm hoping they'll reconsider and place that model back in there "to do" list. If and when they are made, we'll definately stock them.
Todd i'd take 1 in every color made and a probably 2 more to customize to make them just like my rides!! Please try and see if theres anything we could do to help this model get made!! I'd even pre-pay!!!:dollar: :dollar: :dollar: :dollar: :dollar:
I'll hound my rep some more but ultimately it's the Manufactures decision. If they get enough requests though they may add it back into there line up! Thanks for the interest guys!
