I agree with you, but doesn't look like GM got into the "retro" ideal untill after mopar and ford had already done so. I love the look of the new Challenger better than any other '88 and up car, and the mustang comes in at a close second behind the challenger. If GM were to put some money into buick and allow them to make something like a retro styling GS(not like the GTO) then that would be the ticket to getting buick financially set. Like I said previously, the lucern convertible that I showed is not even a real buick, in fact it was probably photoshopped since I googled it. I am diehard buick/and olds, and since GM is as retarded as they are and cut oldsmobile off the line, now they could possibly do the same to Buick(might actually be a wise thing to do, the direction buick is going in now) if they don't come up w/ something quick.
A little less lowered, and a smidge more sidewall on those tires, and I'd buy it. This coming from someone who hates convertibles.
I know that but it made my point. As soon as you start talking factory performance guys start doing: buy a (insert car here) and do (insert mod here). Or they bitch about price. Point was, guy asked me to pick a nice GM car and I picked the vette. He selected Z06, best bang for the buck out there in that price range, period. The the conversation went back to mods and blah, blah, blah... Its hard to have a rational discussion when the target keeps getting moved by the other party. later Tim PS As the owner of a Stage 1 GS, I am acutely aware of how fast newer cars have become.
Close but no cigar they have to get rid of the sag in the middle looks like a plastic model that got too hot. Tim
LOL... now just put a pic of Hasslehoff in tight leather pants right next to it, They'll fix that slot quicker than Greased S#@t.
I find it amazing that a bunch of guys on a Buick belletin board can do a better job of re styling a grill than a team at GM I think that grill fits the car waaaay better than that Cadillac ripoff they are using. I think you may have a good aftermarket accessory there. Youd make a mint selling those!
Actually, if you go back and re-read our/my threads back on page 4, I compared a stock (non ZO6) Vette to vehicles in the same price range and I did discredit the cars within that lineup that would need mods to compete. What I said about the ZO6 is that the perfomance can not be disputed, but the price certainly can. I argued previously that the ZO6 is overpriced, and for $70K (yes, I said $70K for 2006) you certaintly would find me in a higher prestige car than a Chevy.
I had mentioned a while ago how the slot reminded me of Night Rider, and you had to go ahead and go all the way - ROTFLMAO.
