I have a nice ‘72 GS 455 fan shroud that needs a good cleaning. What should a guy use to clean it while keeping it looking original and not altering the finish?
steam clean ? if its only dirt and stuff it might work quitte well. if its paint and undercoat not so much i think.
I'd start w/just warm/hot water & soap. I have a few damaged 350 shrouds here I was going to scrap. If I get a minute this week I can experiment.
Yeh I thought I’d start with warm water and soap. Just wasnt sure what to use to scrub it with that wasn’t an abrasive.
Try a soft sponge and some "no scratch" sink cleaner. https://www.target.com/p/comet-with-bleach-disinfectant-cleanser-scratch-free-21oz/-/A-13219649
