‘64 Skylark Special just placed in west Texas yard 35 miles south of my residence. Anthony TX. Four door sedan 225 V-6 engine was complete air cleaner to oil pan on Sunday. Assuming two speed auto, PS manual drums. Heater only car. Had Connecticut plates in trunk, and signs of body rot on bottoms of front fenders. Owners manual and last owners info left in glove box. Somehow this car found its way to Taos NM which is high altitude with cold winters. Taos is 350+ miles north of here, no idea how it got down here. Maybe someone within a day’s drive can benefit from this, I am not pulling anything from it for resale, with exception of grille and headlight bezels. They are in decent condition and believe good candidates for re-chrome. PM if interested.

Probably a newer engine, has the new style power steering pump on it.

Early build! I would like to find a decent complete 64-65 4 door to use as a beater every day driver! I sure miss my 65 special deluxe that I had about 4 years till the frame rusted away!

Yep, the "ham can" one. It is also possible it was a manual steer car, and PS was added, later. Car is pretty bare bones.

If I was local I would grab a hand full of small things off that car I could use on my burned out cars I bought.

PM's returned. Being that this was what I believe a "Baltimore" car, and spent time in Connecticut, the Dash harness and related plastics should be better, than what is usually available down here. Meaning heat soaked and baked wiring and destroyed plastics. The original AM radio is in place, very unusual, as those were usually "tossed" and the dash harness wiring and dash opening hacked up for an aftermarket tape deck with AM/FM. I know, I did the same thing in the early eighties.
