If you didnt need a contractors license for that service your lucky. The state offices for taking the test are closed again. Dam joke. Dont get a resale license. Why do the govnts job for them. If you get a high temp pressure machine a good place to pitch is pizza conveyer racks for their ovens.
My pal in days of yore had several supermarket contracts for doing shopping carts as well. Nowadays offer a disinfectant for some extra $$$... Only drawback is its mostly night work. ws
Congratulations Ronnie! You're young, its your time. Give it hell. I haven't taken a paycheck since Feb of 88.
I have been self employed since the late 80's and I like to say, "I am self employed, and my boss is STILL an asshole" Congrats and Rock on.
Yes business has been good. A couple of times Iwas booked out for a week. On my first day I left the house in my truck with no work just a plan to go business to business in the morning to the after noon. Then from 1pm to 6pm to go into residential going door to door with my flyer. That day around noon a sushi place told me to they wanted to get there windows inside/out done. I was so excited to have my first customer I wanted 60 and settled on 50 ( I had nothing to lose at that moment). I did them and in the process some lady walked up me and hired me to do her windows at a restaurant next door. I took forever and finish both jobs like around 5:30, the sushi place fed me. And ever since that day I've been getting work, thank the Lord. Most of my work I get through going door-to-door, I'm old school in the way I think that not everybody's on the internet, since the virus I would go out in a mask but it was hot so I would be in the mask sunglasses and a hat. I quickly learned that people needed to see my eyes and face. face book had also got me customers and word of mouth is starting to happen. I'm most happy about locking down a Del Taco drive-thru that I do every month and just did three days ago for the second time. I'm even looking for a little helper, no success there yet... The Buick's are still on hold and the only way I would ever sell them is if I was losing the house. But that won't happen as long as I have my head on my shoulders. But I work my but off boys. I walk fast all though my jobs, I'm nice to the people and I tell people all time, "this is your house, it's your law" I spend alot time protecting electrical outlets, lighting fixtures and I'm learning every day. I'm looking to take some of my earnings and invest in a solar cleaning system so I can branch into another service. I was real glad to see your guys new posting. My first fam, V8Buick
I made my wife the boss, but she doesn't know I fired her a couple weeks ago, it's and on going inside joke with me,myself and I lol
Go get em Ronnie. My first year in business was stressful and alot of pounding the streets so to speak to drum up business. Once you establish a good customer base it gets easier. I work for a bunch of custom home builders and they feed me quite well. I also have a good private client base. Hang in there and keep to the grind it WILL get better and busier. Cheers man!!
