Interesting, I ordered a set of 1405 lifters but TA supplied 1405j. I do have a spare set of 1405 on the shelf but opted not to use those because of a tiny bit of corrosion on the face of 2 of them. I might look at cleaning them up and fitting them while I still have the engine opened up.
That's interesting right there^^^ I wonder if someone just grabbed the wrong box, what does your reciet say?
The order I emailed through says 1405 and the receipt says 1405j. I didn't notice until I read this thread
Did you pay the 1405 price tag and get the cheaper 1405j? If so call TA Monday morning and talk to them about it, I'm sure they'll correct the situation by atleast refunding you the difference?
Best thing to do is show them your order that you wanted the 1405 not the 1405 J and see if they will exchange them and you pay the difference?
I personally would clean up the Delphi Lifters.. Disassembling lifters if needed is not difficult. Being your on the other side of the pond..Reimbursement or Exchanging may not happen.
I know they used to, not sure if they still do. They had the lower inertia check disc instead of the check ball,
Update from TA Hi Allan, Sorry for the delay. They are what we are running on everything now because the delphi lifters are not available any longer. We have not experienced any problems in our engines and no reports of problems from customers. Regards, Sherri TA Performance Products 16167 N 81 St Scottsdale, AZ 85260 480-922-6807
