The string was tied to the ignition key. The lock cylinder was worn out and every launch the key would fall out. It was so he could retrieve it and shut it off. Patrick
Today is the good weather day... we often get one really nice weather day, and today is it.. Friday and Sat look a little iffy.. 75 and sunny there right now.. All things considered, I wish I was sitting in the staging lanes, and not in my office.. Oh well, always next year.. Keep the pictures coming. JW

The string was used to lock the converter.A switch pitch converter was used and the string was pulled to go from hi stall to low stall.The 66 GS belongs to GS Don from Metairie La. and i think he held the nail head record in a gs at that time.Good stuff.
