The Riviera recently made it down to Mexico to partake in some speed trials. After a 150 mile cruise, some speed tests were conducted, how fast do you think the car ended up going on one the pulls? If you require a hint, I don't want to go that fast again. If you want a second hint, ask for it and I'll type it out later.
Mexico eh, long drive.... I had my speed alert go off at 130 once on my 67 Riv GS. Fast enough for me....thought it was going to take flight.... Burnouts were fun watching that drum speedo spin up. I do like how the speedo goes to 145 mph....
I saw a test years ago of a 1968 Riv that supposedly went 137 but with 3.07 gear. I think with 3.42s you would run out of gear at 128.
Interesting. I have 3.42 gears, and 235/75/15 tires, so the speedo read 133, when real speed was 140.
Were you using a GPS to see your actual speed? You had that Riv moving buddy, nice. Question, how did you get to Mexico are the borders open again?
I’d almost expect .5 , and Lebanon Valley has been battling with lawmakers on their side to get it opened in May
If it ran that hard till 5700 your fuel system is working good. Did you ever get a AFR on that carb Cliff had it opened up good.
