I didn't have the AFR gauge with me on the pull, but in testing it began to lean out at higher rpm. Jason's AFR guage had it leaning out closer to 14.1, so I'm not sure my fuel system still has what it takes. If we're cooped up in here for much longer, I might try and redo the fuel line from tank to carb.
Adding to the list: ✅1. Rear coil springs and insulators ✅2. Give the whole car a once-over ✅3. Top up trans fluid ✅4. Tighten steering box a little more 5. New fuel lines, tank to pump? 6. AFR tune once again ✅7. Buy the big needle and seat ✅8. Eliminate the flat spot at 50 mph ✅9. Fix the exhaust system? ✅10. Re-center steering wheel ✅11. Install new-to-me dash pad ✅12. Retorque intake and head bolts
So it turns out that I don’t have the correct power window regulator. I’ve torn down the door and removed the motor. Is there a way to just replace the half circle gear on the stock regulator?
Well, my power windows now all work. And wow, my driver side front window is very fast to go down and up. It doesn't yet go all the way down, but it goes all the way up, which was my main worry anyway. I'll work out the bugs in the coming days.
It turns out that that one was for the rear quarter window, so I dug another correct one out of a junkyard today and installed it
I find even with the two speakers (mine are aftermarket kenwood and pioneer) you still gotta crank it up to hear the songs. I know alot has to do with the cam and exhaust system but still ot could be louder. Instead of hacking into the door panels or package tray I was going to mount some 3" slim profile speakers under the dash up front and maybe some subs in the trunk to help out? What are you doing john or you staying stock?
Oh gosh, I hadn’t even considered upgrading the sound system. I think I will stay stock, I like the exhaust too much
The stereo is last on my "to do" list but it's still on there. I drive most times with the radio of listening to the song of the car but the wife is a music junkie and literally needs a radio on in the car so I said I'd put it on the list for her lol
I have a CDplayer/radio in the glovebox so I can play almost anything. Certain radio stations I wont puck up as I dont have an antenna on my Riv, I think the front fender was replaced before with a non radio car fender. I fished one up from the deck up the A-pillar for now it's concealed and works pretty good!
John here's a link to some 66-67 Riv parts, the guy has some doors with the tracks and hardware you're after, maybe even the regulators are in there too? Lots of other body and trim pieces. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-auto-body-parts/delta-surrey-langley/1966-buick-riviera-parts/1491492849
