I know theres a lot of animal/dog lovers here, so I figured I'd post a pic of these Collie pups. The mother of these pups is part of a group of Collies my wife and I transported and homed for about a week, before they went into rescue. Then they went to Tri State Collie Rescue, the mother of these pups gave birth about a week after being in rescue, 9 pups Wanted to share this pic, its so damn cute
Puppy Pile!!! When I was growing up, my folks took in a stray pure bred female black lab.. turns out she was pregnant, and some time later we had 8 puppies too.. I used to love laying on the ground and having them pileup all over me.. Great memories. JW
I did the same thing back in junior high, a friend lived on a farm, the owners had Irish Setter pups, I'd sit in the field and let 'em trample all over me, IT WAS GREAT
Nah, they don't pee or poop unless you squeeze their belly too much.. which reminds me.. One Sunday, after church, we were sitting around, still in our good clothes, after we got home but before Sunday dinner.. My Dad, my sister and I all had a puppy in our laps, we all had our favorites.. my dad's we called "huey" because he was the biggest one.. a chunky little dude.. My sister and I noticed my dad giving him a little belly squeeze.. and we told him, having first-hand experience in the matter, "Don't squeeze his belly, he might pee on you.." "oh, he will not" said my Dad... and gave him another little belly squeeze, to "prove his point"... about 10 seconds later, the pee was flowing, and Sue and I were rolling on the floor laughing.. Dad had to send that suit to the cleaners.. JW
Mark, I could only add a "like" to your post. Inadequate for how I feel about what You and your Wife do. I hope that every one of those pups goes to a loving home.
We got a couple of black labs and if I get within 5ft of them they start leaking, dont do it with anyone else just me ha
My father in laws dog was that way for about the first 4 or 5 years he had him. Every time I saw him he'd run over and try to jump up on me and start wizzing on my legs. I carried spare pants in my truck for a while.
Nice, awesome dogs. I thought of getting one but decided I didn’t want to spend half my life with a brush in my hands and cleaning fur out of home and every vehicle I own. It’s monumental.
Thank you Jerry, That means a lot to my wife and I Theres no money to be made doing rescue, actually its an expense, but one were happy to do to help the dogs, whatever the breed
I commend you for having the foresight on the "maintenance" Collies or a lot of breeds require. Better to realize the work before making the commitment, and then deciding to give the dog up. I wish some humans would do the same before having kids
Actually, you will eventually become one of the dogs and you will be ok with dog fur in/on/around every thing you own. You will even smell like a dog. You can even use it as an excuse to go work on the car. My dogs are pretty clean though. I bathe them at least once a year.
