good thing I didn't have just took a gulp of beer would have went out the nose readin that one. I have street cars.
I did exactly that 4 years in a row, 340 miles round trip from NYC to Cecil County, Md. Got 15-16 MPG as well. Street car it is.
my 73 stg 1 g/stock 4spd, 4.56's, was always registered and driven on the street and to and from work. it sucked in the rain. couldn't use 1st or 2nd, too slippery. btw, it's just a piece of metal. build it right and a lot of things are possible. no wimps here.
X2. and, those "Nova" bodies are a good 500 lbs lighter than our A bodies. There's another 1/2 second and 5 MPH.
I ran a 72 Skylark then went to the 74 Apollo both had to weigh 3680 with driver. I don't know but I don't think these would get 5 mgp on the street. Dan
You can now put in those bigger gears with the 2004 trans and lock it up. It won't break just ask me those 200 trans can handle as much power as the 350 can give it. go 430's
Very true, I always say " I wanna be the one to wear things out, break stuff, rebuild, and have fun with it" Im NOT saving it for the next guy. Im not going to abuse it, just use it
