Rust free 70 Sportwagon Blue white roof, all glass is good. Windshield has some clear silicone but no leaks. Car came from the Arizona Desert 5 years ago. So what I am looking to sell is the main tubb with glass, doors, interior (blue) No third seat, frame with disc brakes. New heater core installed and suspension done when I bought it springs ball joints ect. The only area of concern is the rear storage compartment where its been getting wet from outside storage but no rust through. The car has some dents but the only rust through was under the battery as most do. If you have a crusty Sporty this can fit the bill I'm asking 3000 OBO I will include the hood. I may be willing to discuss a lower price with me taking more parts. The car has a clear Missouri title is located in St Louis Mo and I can assist some with delivery within 200 Miles This is a complete car right now, so I will need a little lead time to pull the engine and front clip PM me for pics
John. Let me check with a friend here locally. He may be interested in purchasing the entire car if that is still acceptable to you.
John. Can I ask you to send some photos to franklinloco@sbcglobal.net ? I will forward them to Mike and if he wants to proceed will hand of your contact info. A shot of the Fisher body plate would be very helpful. Thanks.
I sent pics of the problem areas seats are rough drivers door panel . I can send more if he wants to see them. In a week or so I'm going to pull the thread and either sell it elsewhere or start pulling the parts I want from it.
Looks like I'm going to either be putting a BBB in the wagon and playing with it. The fenders can find a home on my stage 1. Or pulling what I want and selling the complete body shell with no front clip and a different rear end. Anyone need a rust free shell and frame for a 70 Sporty Im thinking as a roller 2500.00 OBO picked up in St Louis I can assist wit delivery if needed within 300 miles.
I'm not that familiar with a 70 Buick Sport Wagon. How much of it is the same as a 70 GS 455? I could use a number of parts if they match up with a 70 GS. Thanks, Mark
Mark the front clip minus the hood and grille. The interior dash and pad steering column rear end is HD 8.2 posi bigger drum brakes. I'm probably going to pull the ad and keep the vehicle I can use the fenders and rear myself. The body is too good to junk
Sorry to hear Mike couldn't make it happen on the Sport Wagon John. I know he had dreams of a matching tow vehicle for his Gulfstream blue-white painted top skylark, and this would have been a great place to start. I guess sometimes logistics just can't be overcome.
Not a problem. Its looking more and more like I may use this car for a weekend toy 455 fiberglass fenders and hood ( I can use these fenders on my Stage 1) I might install my DANA rear and go bracket racing in the 1/8 mile. I was hoping that someone would save it and use it like I did its a good driver.
If you are thinking of putting your DANA in it, what would you want for the rear axle? Can you tell me the cast date codes and the rear axle code? Open or posi? Thanks
