I don't have a good close up, but my Buick was sold through Norem Buick in Ottawa, IL. Only about 30 or so miles from where I live. Car hasn't traveled much in 45 years!
Did anybody else notice the '70 GSX in that postcard peeking out form behind the three Buick's in the lower left corner?
No they were gone by early 80's maybe '81. All those dealer that were out on 11thst near Downtown. Kinda like most the Northwest Hwy Dealers in Dallas moved closer to the highway. DL
I do not know when they closed but Chuck Naiman was a big dealer here in Tulsa. Theywere gone when I moved here in 1985. I will do some looking around for you. I find the dealer emblems from time to time will keep my eyes open more for them. Mark Sheppard
My car was sold to my great grandfather Rees Fife in the fall of 1966, by Arch Browning, Inc. of Salt Lake City. At the time ,Arch Browning Inc. was the oldest car dealership in the state. Arch was a descendent of John Browning, the famous gunsmith. I have the original owners manual and protecto-plate from the sale, though unfortunately not the window sticker or invoice. The Utah State Historical Society holds the Browning records, including a folder called "Cars Sold, 1965-1967"... I really need to get down there and have a look at those records! Sorry for the miserable picture, I didn't want to open the garage door...
I'd love to have one from Butts Buick(Cali.) even though my car was sold locally, For obvious reasons. :moonu:
I've been searching for an original one for my 70 GS, no luck so far. Belle Buick in Bellefonte, Pa. Anybody have any leads?
I think I may still have a Buick matchbook from Butts Buick if you don't have one - free if I find it.
Hagstrom. That was on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington. It became Tom Rice Buick then Country Buick. The building is empty now
I've got one on my car from the original dealer, Don Drennen down in Ensley Alabama. Anyone got one of these laying around, mine is in pretty bad shape, but i like having it on the car. A nicer one would be cool. thanks Steve View attachment 219264
Pollow Chevrolet moved to Baltimore Pike in Lansdowne Pa right outside Phila.I dont remember them on S. Broad St but I do Remember Crisconi Olds on S.Broad St. Corleto was the first dealer you saw when you came to the Auto Mall from the Expressway. Bought parts there often and knew people that worked there.
I would like to have one from my car original selling spot. I prefer the license frame but will go for any thing. My car was a demo that was loaned to Seattle Seafair Committee for the Seafair parade and Hydro Plane races each year. Or any 1964 Seafair Parade pics that show the Wildcat Converts Frank Hawkins Buick of Seattle Thanks Gary
Lou, Do you remember what streets Corleto was located on? Can't find any pictures or any information online about the dealership.........they closed down in '73 so my car was sold by them within thier last year of operation.
