As you know John, I know whats left of it and where it is...the guy or should say collector will not sell. What is left of it is basically the fiberglass front end, other fiberglass part, and frame. What happened was the body was originally acid dipped, and although "I" don't know the process the owner says the acid was never neutralized and kept eating through the metal body parts and in some areas was eaten through. And when they lifted the body off the frame it (the body) crumbled. It was so bad they just junked the body.
I know I'm a bit of a dreamer. That collector is gonna hit major pay-dirt someday. Eventually everyone's gotta sell, cause you can't take it with you!
Pops bought the car and kept is for a short time...as he did all his cars....the 65 he kept for years ann years.... the 68 is out there somewhere...its up to you to find, seek, love, collect, seek somemore, till you get it....or whats left of it....
Sorry it's not a vintage picture of the car but it's a cool shot of the original vintage flooring of the Reynolds show room. Thanks Don for the picture! ttt
I didnt read all the posts so forgive me if this has been asked before, but arent those valve covers for a 69 400? Didnt the 455 have its own chrome covers with the ribs going along the length? Very nice looking car and engine.
Does anyone have information on the 68 Reynolds racecar? I love learning about the old Buick racecars. Tim
