I bet this piece will fetch a lot of money - I'm guessing $475, anyone else care to take a guess? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-...tZVintageQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
$1000 mirror that can be removed with one phillips head screw. I would be nervous leaving my car anywhere with that thing hanging on the door.
I am pretty sure that a mirror like this will bring 400.00 or maybe a little more. If it goes to 1k I know there is room for a repo to be made. Mark are you listening? 400 would be too much IMHO but for the right car who knows.
I'm guessing my car will never have one of those, though I'd love to have one, even a not so nice one too...I may swap to sport mirrors and sell my immaculate driver side one this summer..It looks great, but sucks to look out of..I am with Doug, Betting in the 5-6 hundred area...
How do we know that this is a Skylark mirror, and not for a big car? I have such a mirror, pulled from a 1970 electra, that looks identical to this one. The casting number on the electra mirror base is 60385 - 401 RH.
I agree, Lesabre or 225. If, it didn't have the trishield; I would say it went to an Olds 88. Other, than the tri-shield, just like the RH mirror from my Olds 88.
hmmmmmm... Now I'm confused. You may be right. I sold the 88 2-1/2 years ago. .... And, now, I don't rightly know.......
I believe that's a common misconception. The Tri-Shield should be on the same side for the driver's side mirror and the passenger side mirror. I'd have to dig mine out to be sure.
I recall that the mirror part is the same for the P and D side (Trishield on right) and the base is what's different, but I could be wrong! :bglasses: - Bill
I had on on my 70 stage 1 driver side I have one in almost as good as shape as this one for sale pm if intrestead it's a driver's side
