Thanks for that, I think a 4 speed Ram Air 1V convertible would do the trick.

    Cheers

I had a request for pics of my project so here goes.

1955 Studebaker Commander Regal C-Body Coupe. It was originally a 224 V-8 with 3 speed OD and a 4.09 rear end. Someone swapped in a Stude 289 4V out of a '56 Sky Hawk years ago. It was originally a Texas car and then was brought to Northern IA back in the early 70's and stuffed in a machine shed with a whole collection of older cars. There it stayed until it was sold and brought to IL in 1996, stored again until '98 when it again changed hands and eventually put back into limited use. It still had the Texas title and 1970 TX plates at that time. It was driven about 3,000 miles and then parked again in 2003. I bought it last Fall with the intention of hopping up the 289 a little bit. Until last week that is, then I got my hands on a Buick 430 and the wheels started turning............

It was originally Sea Foam Green with a White top and will be again ASAP. Plans now call for a mild tweak on the 430 with a 200-4R and an 8.5" 10 Bolt Posi. Plans are for a mild customizing job similar to this car but with blackwalls on body colored wheels with dog dish hub caps and occasionally a set of Moon discs.

The engine has packed it in on the Venture, but it gave me 10 years of service. This photo was on the Alaska highway in November.
The truck is the new daily driver.

    Guys,

Sweet thread, love all the various projects, daily drivers and hot rods. Here are my everyday cars - wife's 94 Impala SS and my 99 Silverado. Also threw in the 67 CA GS

good eye. i had a set of the non-chrome 15" ralleys from a 76 regal laying around and so i painted them up, added some rings and pontiac centercaps with some SS decals i found on ebay stuck on them, and some cheap walmart tires. for being such a low-dollar investment, i think they turned out looking pretty good.
