Hi, Thanks for the reply. A couple of Q's Will the 69,70 steering boxes fit the 66, 67 Riviera's Eldorado's Toronodo's. The 67-68 Riv GS's the package did not come with a quick ratio steering box unless specifically ordered? Thanks Bruce
Hi, Disk or drum?? off the drum brakes, yes I'd like to sell the the front disk brakes as a set, spindles, backing plates, calipers, rotors (new never installed, surface rust), new front pads (never installed), propositioning valve and master cylinder. Thanks Bruce
yup, drums though I wouldn't mind the specs on the discs just for a refference of what the OEM considered adequate for these cars.
Correct, the quick ratio steering had to be ordered separately. Kinda strange, isn't it. Not absolutely sure about the answer to your other question, but it does seem likely to fit.
Hi Would they fit a 66, 67, 68, Riviera, if so someone might be interested in a quick ratio box for those year cars. Does it matter if there off a 69 or 70, the 70’s coming apart first, my wife is tired of looking at it sitting in front of the garage. The 69 and 69 GS are hiding out of site. LOL. The brakes I can get the measurements off the disks, there a 4 piston caliper and I can post a picture of the pads. Thanks Bruce
I looked through the 68 salesmans price guide and could not find an option code for a quick ratio box. Do you know what the option code would be on that?
As best I know there is not a difference between them so no it doesn't matter which they are off of. I'm planning on making my own 12.8in disc brake conversion and my early '64 spindles are asymetric so I don't have the right mounting bosses to try to make an adapter for C5/C6 caliper brackets and I want to put dust sheilds so I'm trying the drum brake backing plates as a starting point.
