Hey Buick guys, I could use your help. When you think of car "nicknames", what comes to mind? I want to create a new web site that uses a car nickname in the domain, but I am at a loss as to what might be the most recognizable to use. Off the top of my head, there are a few from the movies like "Eleanor" or "Christine". I'm thinking that most guys car their car "Bessie" or "Betsy" or something simple like that. What do you call your car, if anything? Thanks for your thoughts!
well my wife has some names for my car but the are less than G-rated:Brow: . My sons and I car her Bell... i know not thats not earth shattering but it has stuck
Well as expected my wife calls my Suncoupe " Money Pit" that rhymes with the name for all the other Buicks I own. She doesn't have the vision I do when they are all done.
The Rivski. Trying to think of generic nicknames for cars, but all that comes to mind are antiquated names like Tin Lizzy, Fliver. The beast. The boat. Tired Iron. o No:
Mine was always, My Bee or My B. My wife before we were married called it, BB Buick which stood for Baby Buick. Back then it was a '63 215 cu in Skylark.
My wife calls my race car "NEW HOUSE" My riviera "NEW FLOORS" My GSX 'THE BIG DEVORCE" MY TRAILER "TUMMY TUCK" ou: ou: ou: ou:

Every old Buick I've owned ends up being called the old Buckrus. I have called it other names:rant: too but this is a family oriented site so I won't repeat them. Bob H.
Our '69 Electra was known by our friends as "The Brown Bomber." Also, "The Ghetto Sled," or simply "Sled."
I had a 66 chevy C10 longbed a long time ago that we nicknamed "Agnes". The name was borrowed from an old friend of mine that used to yell "AGNES!!!!" instead of swearing when his pre-school age daughter was in the vicinity.
I use to have a '76 Type LT Camaro drag car.......my daughter named it "Martha". Not sure why or where she came up with that name....
1975 RivieraGS AKA `Whale` (big `ugly` and slow) 1972 Estate Wagon `Behemoth` (wikipedia: BTW: my username on other (station wagon) boards is Harry (Hairy) Clamshell
I called my car "Christine" ala the King movie ... when I first owned it I worked on it alot while I drove it, so it seemed the more I drove it the more it fixed itself ... but people started calling it BigRed so that kinda stuck. For a website I kinda like DueceAndaQuarter
I think I will name my Skylark project Paris, because, this car is burning up my credit cards just like that spoiled little bitch does with her Amex Black. :moonu:
