Anthony, I understand that those G-Tech units are typically pretty accurate. With that said, 14.9 in that big machine is not too shabby at all!!!! A little jetting here, a little tuning there, add in a clean limited wheel spin launch and suddenly you are in the low 14 range:TU: :TU: I have been driving my car more lately ( it sat for almost a month) and it is doing very well. I still need to make time to do more carb tuning etc.. but no complaints what-so-ever with the rockers. Beleive it or not, the car sounds so much more radical with the rockers on. I think they really bring the old 1960's solid cam to where it should have been.:beer
haven't been on in a LONG while... so here's an update: so my car turned 25 last wednesday... 125,000 miles that is... i've driven it with the Telesco rockers for at least 7000 miles now... not a problem in the world.. like i said before, it made a world of difference when i put them on.. most worthwhile part i've purchased for my rivi thanks Tom!:3gears: :3gears: wes
Looking good Ted. Now get that guide hanging down out of the flow path!!!!! Radius that exhaust guide for more flow!!!! Get rid of all the power robbing, HP gobbling metal restrictions. Smooth out the radius of the intake guide also. Air is like water or electricity, it will take the easiest path. More flow,=runs better!!!!!!
I finally got the car together enough to take it around a few blocks. First I want to say that the idle sounds healthy. I didnt give it much gas but it was starting to go sideways from about 10 mph roll.Then We had a ice storm and then a foot of snow for the last 2 weeks so I am waiting to get a front end alingment and inspected and then take it for a real test. So far the rockers seem to really work well and are adjustable I want to say thanks to Tom T for answering a lot of my quistions on the phone:TU: Bob Also this is in a 4-speed car
Have not visited this thread in a while. Tom is my deposit still good? Are all the sets done? Is it possible to get you to set up the entire rocker arm assembly? Let me know. Dan
I know Ted`s last post is over a month old but I am curious as to why the adjustment screws on the rockers are protruding at all different heights? I would expect them to all be about the same in appearance? Unless the final adjustment has not been performed? (Just something I have learned to look for after running the overhead on diesels on the job!) :Smarty: Tom Mooney
Tom, if you look closer you will see the adjusting nuts are not tightened down on 3 of them. This, I'm sure, was just a preliminary adjustment. Tom T.

Tom is right, this pic was before they were adjusted. they all adjusted pretty much the same once I got going. I forgot how much we shaved off the heads; had to get short pushrods for this one. Ted
I am in the process of doing a couple other things to the car right now.So I thought it was a good time to look close at how the rockers were rideing on the valves. I have been following this thread and remember the geometry being talked about. First I want to say about a year ago Tom and I talked about the option of going with chevy 11/32 valves, That were a little bit cheaper. Then I found pac eng. that sold me LS1 beehive springs cheaper than the stock replacement and the retainer was about the same price. The valve is a little taller but the rockers are now adjustable.So I wanted to see what it looked like. Here are a few pictures, I had to turn off the flash on the camera, I could not get them to show up with the flash on.Tom, they seem to be rolling in the right area. Bob
