VFN stuff is pretty good. Not sure if they have the cowl you need though. 2" is no problem, try looking over my 4", ouch. I raised my seat to help, lol, plus I'm short :TU:
Black Rug! Check out the black rug! What an improvement. I can actually tell that my seats are dirty now! Plus it gives it an eerie Grand National feeling.
Had it out on the street for the first time in a long time yesterday!:beer Definitely getting rid of the racing mufflers.......
I have a steel hood with a fiberglass (cowl, 2" insert) moulded into it. The only thing I don't like about it is the weight. The hood struts (new) won't hold it up when it starts getting cold outside (they will when its really hot outside). My other Regal has a 2" all fiberglass cowl hood and its much lighter. There is no problem seeing over a 2" cowl hood.
A Day of 455 header gasket swap and some BBB carb tuning/in 30 degree weather :blast: :blast: :blast: My kind of THANG:bglasses: OK,Now: -muflers -heater hoses -Dist.curving & MSD -more carb work and 1" spacer -2 1/2" cowl hood - horn button :3gears: Your there.... Dooood ..that car feels strong!
Saturday was brutal. It was well worth it! That made me pull my ears back!! Nothing like burning tire without have to use the brake! It was good to feel that the car actually had a stall converter. Word to the wise Edelbrok carbs are J-U-N-K.
I traded a GN (turbo) hood for it even up. There are Regal fiberglass cowl hoods for sale on E-bay (new) everyday.
I haven't ordered the hood yet, but I have made some progress. Did a 10 cent upgrade to my stock HEI, Summit turbo mufflers are on, heater hoses attached, got rid of a bunch of nasty oil. ONE PROBLEM, I've sprung a major fuel line leak.:eek2: Now its time to reroute and replace the fuel line.
Those damn $800 cars do nothing but nickle and dime ya. What's the deal on the pinion bearing? If you come up this weekend you'll probably be able to make it back to my 9". I was back there the other day and the road was mostly clear.
This $800 car didn't come with a 455 or 9". We'll see what kind of condition I'm in Sunday. The company Xmas party is Saturday night!:beer
A lil offtopic but seems like no one really likes aftermarket carbs.. "elds are junk" and my personal expierence so are the 750 speed demons! I imagine holly would be the same as demons are "modified" hollys need to get me a q-jet
Dropped off my 800 Q-jet at the rebuild shop....should have it early next week! Too much snow to tackle the fuel line leak today. I miss my garage.
Did you go to the guy at the Millvale Industrial Park?? He did one of Don's a few years ago. I think Don liked it.
