He does exactly two songs I can tolerate, "Unknown Legend" and "Pocahontas". He gets far too much airplay up here due to content restriction laws mandating all stations have 40% Canadian only content.
Hi, Yeah me and the wife caught the London show and the viewing party in Sarnia. The show in London was unreal experience every bar in that town was playing them and a big sing along, never seen anything like that before, or since. Good time though. Regards, Jim
You're gonna listen to Rockin' in the Free World for the 4th time today and you're gonna like it! Over half a century of music to pick from and they play the same setlist day in day out in a different order. Tragic what media consolidation has done to radio.
You got that right!!! I listen to “regular” radio, I don’t have a subscription to any Sirius or anything like that, BUT hearing songs from the late 70’s and 80’s more NOW than when they first came out is rediculous! Like you said, it’s the same song roster, they just change the order in which the songs are played. 106.5 here in Cleveland, I didn’t realize till a few months ago, they DONT have any DJ’s, it’s all automated/pre-recorded
Same here, if I like there sound and lyrics, I could care less. Bands and performers from Australia, Sweden, Germany, or anywhere, if I like ‘em I like ‘em
The good news is that there are still some great stations out there, you just have to go find them on the internet. It isn't always practical for cruising around in your car, but it is an option. For me I've largely given up on my local stations and opt for an FM transmitter to use with Apple Music. I used to have a cassette to aux for the Buick, until something inside the cheap China crap cassette casing locked up and ruined the motor in my tape deck.
As a general rule, I stopped listening to the radio over 20 years ago. I had (gave them to my son) over 5000 records. I have transferred most of the music to my computer, filling up a 500 GB HDD. I could listen to 6 different albums a day and still take a year to finish. I guess my musical tastes stopped absorbing new music in the early 90's.
