Wasn't there one of those that was written "show job" or something on the PBOF? There was a thread about it years ago.
I remember seeing this one in person many years ago. Maybe at the BCA 50 yr gathering in PA? More photos: https://www.rkmotors.com/vehicles/2633/1970-buick-wildcat Here is from 2017 Auction: Lot # 461 1970 Buick Wildcat 2-Dr. Hardtop; S/N 466370X100338; Red, White vinyl roof/Black vinyl; Estimate $40,000 – $50,000; Recent restoration, 2 condition; With Reserve; Hammered Sold at $41,000 plus commission of 10.00%; Final Price – $45,100–455/370hp, automatic, styled wheels, whitewalls, headrests, console, AM-FM, underdash 8-track, power window, power seat, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning. – Possibly used by Buick as a show car or demo according to a search of the Sloan Museum’s archives. Excellent paint, chrome, interior and vinyl roof. Underbody and engine compartment are like new. Flat panels, even gaps and flush fits except for the right front of the hood which stands slightly but noticeably proud. – The Sloan documentation is backed up by the lavish array of equipment loaded onto this Wildcat. It’s a rare model with good road manners and abundant power, all of which are reflected in the price it brought here.
Not really. All I did was copy the VIN from the Mecum ad and Google it. Then Dano took a photo from the link I provided and copy / pasted it here. :>)
Very heavily optioned. Only a handful of non mutually exclusive options it didn't have. Interesting note on the letter indicating it was listed 2x in the microfiche. Sure seems like it's be the '70 Wildcat to have...
Now this took a little more work, lol. Same car. Was factory gold. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1970-buick-wildcat-hardtop-59-900.320726/
Suprising someone would go through what appears to be such a meticulous resto & do a color (& to a lesser extent wheel) change. I'd have preferred neither gold nor red but...
So ...... Would the color change affect the value? I noticed the drivers side rear seems to set lower than the passenger side...or its optical illusion..... I love the car regardless....just curious Scott
