Made this part for the Hawk and then spoke with a buddy that has a CNC machine. I can make a run of these and sell for around 40$ each if theres enough interest. Keep in mind this is my prototype. The finished product would be 1 piece billet and have options for the bypass hose via threaded nipple or pipe plug.
Would you consider machining the base with a beefy O-ring?? Maybe that's a bad idea?? But in theory, it would be great to ditch the gaskets that are fussy and can leak. I'm not sure if that o-ring would work in practice (since the intake surface wasn't designed for it) but I think a design change like that would offer added value for the $$. I definitely need the bypass
For sure that would ad to the cost. Have no idea how it would mate on a cast manifold. Alumn maybe. Would most likely have to get the rings custom made to size and diameter .
Thats a good question and I will poke the dist into that engine before I go further. First though is no.
