Haven't been on here in a while. Car is running great! Did have some glitter in the oil last year and ended up pulling it apart and replacing some bearings. Put a new came in it. I had a son a few years ago and didn't have the time like i used to so I will get some current pictures and maybe some videos. Paul
The only thing that would say; "You don't wann toch this!" any better, would have a red hourglass on it's belly...
So glad to see this thing is still together. The pictures do this car no justice. 66larkgs helped me when I put together a TT Nailhead powered International pickup about 6 years ago. We met up at Lake George. Great guy and super helpful!
Thank you for the kind words. Did alot of work on the car last winter and really just always tring to make it better every year. If anyone would like to turbo there Nailhead I can give you all the things i learned . Save you time and money. I am actually building another 55 international r160 with a Cummins 6bt swap(cool tow rig) .. Really got the bugs worked out of the car and runs really strong. some tips, more LSA really helped the motor spin the big turbo. We tried a 109 lsa, and we are at a 114. Comp cut a few custom cams for us, one we hurt and the last one has been in for a few thousand miles. i swap in a electric fan from a crown vic. Moves some serious air and I tried three other fans . I had two different style aluminum shrouds I built and I run a big aluminum radiator. Turbos build a ton of heat under the hood. Car runs 185, trans runs cool.. Found keeping the oil cool helped with the temp also. Car likes ignition timing!!
First time looking at this post. That thing looks nasty! Really cool, dare to be different and looking good while doing it. Would love to hear its bark.
I'm planning to turbocharge my '60 401 and while looking around for information about this online I've come across your posts and have seen you mention that you could provide some information to anyone looking to do this. I'd really appreciate any advice you could give me. My intention is to run twin turbos and intercoolers.
