I had Q-Jet that had been rebuilt late in 2016. I literally took it out of the box, peeled off the shrink wrap and installed it not long after buying my car. The carb was tended to by 2 very experienced car guys, to no avail. So I decided to shelve it until about a month ago, when I sent it down to Ken. During his assessment, he found the following issues: Corroded fuel bowl Clogged idle tubes Misadjusted throttle side linkage Jacked up cold start choke setting Bad accelerator pump Weak power piston spring Primary and secondary nozzle drip Primary pulloff that released too early Again, this was a newly rebuilt carb that was installed and failed miserably. The week turnaround and fluid communication was great and the performance of the carb even better. Anyone considering a Q-Jet rebuild should definitely give Ken a call.
