The x275 class equals fox body for a reason. Weight! I love when I see some different blood in that class but it's hard to compete. Gary, I commend you for giving it a go in that class. I'd rather watch you go 5.00 all day than to watch a dozen mustangs go 4.50 but I realize that's not what the end game is. A bodys are heavy. No way around that. And weight loss does cost money but chip away at it and you might be surprised. I think it was Kubish years ago that said go after ounces not pounds and you'll be surprised how fast it adds up.

Going turbo just isn't that simple. I'm not up on all the x275 rules but I thought big blocks couldn't run a turbo or blower? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also with the turbo sizing rules it becomes tougher to make the power when the cubic inches get larger. Big block nitrous combos are single cast manifold single carb.
I think your correct on cast intake, so custom billet parts like rob makes are out. bb are also only allowed 1 kit if I read the rules correctly, and onl 1 carb. so a big pro system sv1 could help here. now if running fuel injection......I believe you could run nitrous through both sides of the fogger to make it like 2 kits provided you could flow enough through the solenoid to do that since they are limited to only 2 solenoid
but giving up 100 cubes to what is class legal is hard to compete gainst........heck the 475 cubes is under what sb turbo cars are allowed to run, looks like an can be up to 480 cubes
I know rules are open to interpretation sometimes. How are they defining a big block vs small block? Is it merely cubic inches or? Sometimes they will use factory guidelines.
I dont know if it goes by cubes only........I know its possible to get over 600 cubes in small block architecture. but at 600 cubes is it truely a small block any more???? if they go by cubes only then at 475 cubes you could use turbo and billet intakes
