Anybody got the part number for front springs for 1972 455? I don’t care what brand, swapping 455 for my 350 so need new springs.
Front springs from ESPO on this BB convert with AC. At the time I ordered, every MOOG spring was out of stock.
Brent, I know you’re going to have a street car, I put these trick springs in my car back in the late 80s. The car drove perfectly fine on the street. And with traction would pull the driver side wheel. 90/10 shocks, swaybar connected. Big block non-AC
Brent, Here is more info provided from George’s site: http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/springs.htm I have 5398s in my 70 GS 455 with AC and have been happy with them, but they still show out of stock on Summit. Just went back and looked. In March 2023 I paid $155 for the convertible’s springs from ESPO. It was $192 total with tax and shipping. I thought I got a quote from Eaton as well but couldn’t find it in my email. I remember it being 200$+
Unfortunately, just for the front set just tried to find a company that had 5398s available. My guess is that they have been discontinued.
No bragging here, they’re still installed in the car. The original springs are in their box 16 inches high.
Check the part number on the box. See if they’re still available they are non-air, big block springs.
I think I paid just under $200 incl. tax (picked them up @ Laura's house the morning after I was at your place this past summer). 455, no A/C. Seems Eaton was a lot more. Haven't installed them yet.
