What's the correct color combo the a 1971 GS grill? I've seen just the inside of the horizontal ribs painted black with everything else painted silver including the waffle pattern. Then, on some, I've seen both the horizontal ribs black and also the interior waffle pattern. What's correct? Pics if you have them, please.
What I use is a custom blend of PPG DP90 and DP48 to make a light grey to seal the grille. Next I paint it with a bright silver VW Silversbee on the front side. The squares are painted with an argent charcoal. The color is from a mid 90's GM grille. The black is GM interior paint. The paints were mixed as interior paint with a hardener so clear was not required.
Dave, I thought of you when I saw the question. I thought you might answer. Happy New Year! Would you share the colors for a correct 69 GS grill?
Tony, 69 grilles are black and the same charcoal argent as 70 and 71. My screen name and the key word "grille" are your friend. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1969-gs-grill-color-s.374508/
