In the early `80`s my regular driver was an Artic White `65 Riv GS. I decided to strip the car and have a friend who I grew up with, but had lost touch with, paint the car. When I went to pick up the car the paint was full of runs and sprayed too dry in other places. It was terrible, even for a driver. I had heard he was a great painter so I was jaw dropping disappointed. He offered to fix the paint so I left the car. In the mean time I heard through the grapevine that he and his wife had a huge cocaine problem. When I finally picked up the car it was no better. Moral of the story...dont paint an Artic White car in a well lit spray booth while blitzed on cocaine! Snowblind! Tom Mooney
Hah! I don't plan on it. I did a respray on a 57 Special that had the problem you described. Supposed high quality shop...father was getting old, so son took over some duties and painted the car. Thin base coat (could see through to primer) and thin clear in many spots. And of course it's black.
So, that's what my girl would look like as a convertible. My eldest son has a fear of convertibles so, none for us. Love the look of your car so far.
This can be the Before pick. Its a nice 20'r. When its done there will be 3 different cars that went into making this one
Was it someone he who was asking about how much crap would be swept off the floor? It was about 30 lbs. It turned white today…
Been baking in the sun for a couple days. Will probably start cutting clear down this week if my schedule lets me.
Showed this picture to one of my older friends and all she said was nice, tell me about the pink one in the garage. All I could remember was her name is Ms Piggy and its a 58 Buick
LOL! Everyone loves Miss Piggy. 58 Roadmaster 4 door hardtop. 50% original paint and mostly original interior. Somewhat cleaned up engine compartment. It's a nice 10 footer. Color is Reef Coral with a white painted top.
Probably not this yr Patrick, Plan is to bring the Skyhawk, run S16,B1 and the second chance race. Now if I cant get the bugs worked out and get comfortable in the car that might change.
Yeah, but it's still a boat. .....and that's what I friggin' love about it! Beautiful! Can't wait to see it with all the trim on it.
