Does anyone know of someone who lightened the counterweights just to add Mallory, then had the unfortunate disaster of having a piece come out destroying the motor. What was the performance gain?
Just to clarify; it is my understanding that these cranks are only available as part of a stroker rotating assembly. Is this correct, or can they be purchased separately? Thanks.
Yes and no! Everyone needs rods and custom pistons etc. We know some will complain a little but these are aerospace quality and about $1400 less than our competitors. Complete kits are 4495. That’s only 500 bucks more than others billet cranks alone. We don’t take deposits when ordering cranks and then you wait a year or longer, where can anyone get that deal.
My last billet from Velasco did not need all of that extra work. It had the extra counterweight and hollow mains. Just a hair above 55lbs. That’s a huge difference considering a stock one is over 70lbs.
55 lbs is about a 20% weight reduction from stk. And about 40% weight reduction compared to this 90 lbs crank.......that will make a huge difference in the way a motor spins up and the amount of stress the block sees
Just to clarify, we will offer cranks by themselves from today thru the end of the month. All tax and shipping charges will apply!!!
