Also note that the area circled in blue is only humped like that to clear the pickup tube which I don’t use. And the area circled in black is only to clear the single exhaust cross over pipe. Even with headers there is a ton of room to add capacity on the sides and back. Not that I think a huge amount of oil is a great benefit other than cooling. I think that steel modified stock pan Steve posted at the start of the thread is the best bang for your buck.
Im sure I wouldn't need the kick outs as Im not road racing. The attraction for the aluminum pan for me is the thicker pan flange...….. no/less warping
yes just have him triple up the flange and get a 3/4” pan... girdle pan lol almost as cool as a mantle girdle.
Mark, I have a solution for that also...….. I make the flange stiffener for the 350 pan. I don't have a good "full" picture handy, but these partial pics should get the idea across. They're 2 pcs.... left and right and they help to spread the load over the thin pan rail to help with the flexing and leaking. $50 /set.
